The 3 things you SHOULD know about fuel contamination!

Waste Fuel Disposal

Have an old fuel tank at the rear of the garden full of unwanted and old, unusable or contaminated fuel? We could help you to get rid of it. We've been called out to several domestic and industrial premises in West Sussex to deal with draining and disposing of fuel storages. We are covered by the Environment Agency to allow us to get rid of and dispose of waste fuel legally and safely.

No matter if the fuel storage is an underground reservoir, a portable bowser, or even numerous drums in a storage shed, providing we are able to access it, we are able to empty it for you.

Water Contamination or AdBlue Contamination

Water contaminated fuel, regardless of whether it is petrol or diesel, is in many cases a significant issue to address in an automobile - especially in modern common-rail engines.

Having water or AdBlue inside your fuel is likely to contribute to idling difficulties, lumpy running, increased smoke and, if it is not addressed fully, quite possibly broken injectors. Water in petrol is less difficult to remove when compared with water in diesel - primarily due to the fact that diesel is an oil. Even so we can handle both circumstances fairly quickly.

Be aware though that so long as the vehicle has been started on the fuel contaminated with water it will probably need a new fuel filter to be fitted simply because the previous one will likely be totally water-logged and unusable.
